Founded in 1994 by Kent Wellish, M.D., and partnering with Jack Abrams, M.D. in March 2025, the Wellish Abrams Vision Institute uses the latest technology and innovative procedures to provide the highest level of vision care in Nevada.
In the more than 30 years since we opened our doors, we have trained more than 100 local eye doctors in all areas of laser vision correction. We are nationally recognized as a Dry Eye Center of Excellence and have achieved a perfect A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
In addition, we are the only permanent on-site, all-laser LASIK center in Las Vegas owned and operated by a “Top Doc,” an honor given to Dr. Wellish by peer physicians.
Dr. Abrams was the first surgeon in Nevada to perform Laser-Assisted Cataract, KAMRA Inlay, and Laser-Assisted Intacs procedures. Dr. Abrams is the only surgeon in Nevada who has performed laser-assisted corneal transplants.
Our doctors have collectively performed thousands of LASIK and cataract surgeries. Dry eyes and glaucoma are two more of our specialties, as well as procedures like astigmatism correction, corneal transplants, and PRK surgery.
